The third iZombie season is preparing to air. A panel was available at San Diego Comic-Con 2016 to share more insight about the upcoming iZombie plot and characters.
Rose McIver, star of the show, told fans that her character, Liv, is facing a lot of conflict. Vivian Stoll's Fillmore Graves is a military operation. Liv does not know about the group of zombies and has an eerie feeling about everything.
TVLine cited iZombie executive producer Rob Thomas that Liv will fight the weirdness by sharing the details with her friends. They will reportedly work together to discover what Stoll and the coming zombie apocalypse is all about.
Fillmore Graves will be at the core of everything in "iZombie" Season 3. Thomas added that Fillmore Graves is important in the plot because they are building cool big sets for it. The team is expected to deal with stranger zombies as the story progresses.
McIver, Thomas, David Anders, Rahul Kohli and Aly Michalka, Malcolm Goodwin and executive producer Diane Ruggiero-Wright were also available at the iZombie panel at SDCC. They provided more "iZombie" Season 3 details, such as production starting immediately after the event.
McIver said that he would love for Liv and Major (Robert Buckley) to have a future together. However, there are bigger issues to deal with. She added that her next love interest will not be killed off. Michalka said that she liked Peyton ending up with both Blaine (David Anders) or Ravi (Rahul Kohli) in an open relationship.
Ravi's former boss at CDC will also appear in "iZombie" Season 3. Robert Knepper will come back as Angus, Blaine's father, who will allegedly have some great experiences in the upcoming storyline.
IndieWire reported that McIver also announced that Liv will eat the brains of a dominatrix and possess some of her traits in a future iZombie episode. McIver mentioned that she had to clear her browsing history every now and then while researching for the dominatrix role in "iZombie."
Ruggiero-Wright assured fans that she will be the best dom, since the actress is very good regardless of the role she plays.
Another iZombie episode will feature Liv and Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) solving an iZombie case. The following episode will have Peyton prosecute it to determine that there is actually more to the story.
The launch date of "iZombie" Season 3 has yet to be announced. More updates and details are expected soon.
