This year's E3 gave fans and gamers a first look at the highly anticipated "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" game that Nintendo is developing for Wii U and the upcoming NX.
The preview gained mostly a positive response from critics and fans alike, making them even more excited for its release sometime next year. This marks the 19th installment in "The Legend of Zelda" series and the first game to be developed in hi-def.
While fans are eagerly waiting for the release of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," they can get their hands on an action figure of the game's main protagonist, Link. According to Game Reactor UK, Japanese toy manufacturer has secured the license to create the toy, which is definitely in the makings to become a collectible toy.
"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" Link action figure slash collectible toy is complete with full movement in all of his joints, and is equipped with the Master Sword, shielf, bow, and amazingly, different faces for various moods. Head over to kotaku.com to view the photos.
The Link action figure/collectible toy from "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" has no release date in sight at the moment, but fans can already begin saving up. It costs a rough $260.
Meanwhile, IGN sat down with "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" producer Eiji Aonuma, executive producer Shigeru Miyamoto, and senior product marketing manager Bill Trinen to talk about the highly anticipated game that is slated to debut this 2017. The team said that they were inspired by the concept of getting lost. Aonuma even said that "getting lost is fun" and that a gamer may lose his way in a small world and get frustrated, but it's always better to see it as a challenge.
Aonuma added that there is a sense of discovery in getting lost in the worlds of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," so fans should definitely look forward to more exploration once the game comes out next year. The developers also hinted that there's a story behind Link's new costume (fans would probably be more familiar with his green tunic rather than the new one the character and the collectible toy is sporting), so fans have to check out the game for that.
