Fans are still hoping they will be treated with a new season of "Person of Interest" in any network that they issued their petition to. Unfortunately, within weeks of being up on the website, the appeal still lacks with signatures.
Lack Of Signatures
Kaily Russell made the petition on Change.org in hope to bring back "Person of Interest" for Season 6.
However, the request still needs 180 signatures to complete the required 50,000 names to get the attention of some network to create "Person of Interest" Season 6.
So far, the petition now has 49,820 supporters, who are crying to have "Person of Interest" Season 6.
To recall, Game n Guide previously reported that the request has been sent to giant networks, like Netflix, WGN, Amazon, ION, The CW, Hulu Plus, NBC and Fox Broadcasting Company. Fans are still looking forward that one of these associations will pick "Person of Interest" to have Season 6.
"'Person of Interest' is one of the most unique shows on TV today. It has built a large fan base that reaches from America to China to Turkey to France and everywhere in between," the petition read.
"It gives us LGBT representation and gives us some of the truest representations of a mental disorder. We've been fighting to keep this show alive and would love to see another network pick it up, even if it's just for one more season," it noted.
Potential Stories For New 'Person Of Interest' Spin-Off Or Season
Meanwhile, Cinema Blend reported "Person of Interest" creator Jonathan Nolan along with his writers made the Season 5 finale a bit like a cliffhanger that could be continued with a spin-off or a new story.
The change of location in "Person of Interest" Season 5 to keep the President alive left a lot of possible scenarios to develop a new prequel or even a continuation of Season 6.
The Machine, too, can be used in other parts of the world and not only in New York could also work as another "Person of Interest" potential situation.
CBS has yet announced if there will be a new spin-off or season for "Person Of Interest."
