A few months back in "Uncharted 4" we saw a poster of a pregnant woman who's wearing a facemask, a fairly over-sized jacket, a backpack and is holding a gun. The poster also says "The Last of Us: American Daughters" and it brought excitement towards the fans of the massive 2013 hit videogame.
Missed opportunity in E3 2016 for "The Last of Us 2"
Naughty Dog was expected to somehow give fans of the "The Last of Us" a glimpse or an idea of what's to come with "The Last of Us 2" at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles last month. But to the disappointment of a lot of fans, there was no "The Last of Us 2" in sight, not even a shadow of it appeared in E3.
Which a lot of us again to speculate and with a ton of questions. Will "The Last of Us 2" ever come to fruition or reality?
Naughty Dog already brainstorming for "The Last of Us 2"
In a past report from GameRant, Neil Druckmann confirmed that they indeed have plans to follow up "The Last of Us." In one of his statements, Druckmann said, "Before my partner, Bruce [Straley] and I, my directing partner, came on to Uncharted 4 we were working on prototypes for different ideas within The Last Of Us universe. Without going into specific genres [there were] ideas outside the The Last Of Us."
Recent reports as well claim that it's hopeless for "The Last of Us" fans to be able to get their hands on "The Last of Us 2" by the end of 2017 as the game still has a lot to go through the development and creative team. It might take time as well to add all the storyline and the twists in the much longer time to complete.
So fans might need to wait til 2018 to find out what Ellie is up to next.
