Marvel's panel discussion during San Diego Comic-Con revealed a lot of juicy information about "Guardians of the Galaxy" vol. 2 especially the identity of Star-Lord's (Chris Pratt) father. Fans won't need to wait for the film to hit the theaters to know Star-Lord's father and who portrays the character.
Ego: The Living Planet
Screenrant reported that Marvel gave fans at San Diego Comic-Con 2016 a sneak peek at the much-anticipated "Guardians of the Galaxy" vol. 2. The juiciest detail perhaps is the revelation of Star-Lord's character, which is Ego: The Living Planet.
Marvel dropped a new trailer that revealed Ego: The Living Planet as the father of Peter Quill aka Star-Lord. The "Guardians of the Galaxy" vol. 2 will see Ego, traditionally portrayed as a planet with features of a human face.
James Gunn's version of the "Guardian of the Galaxy" vol. 2 will reveal Ego: The Living Planet, however, it is still unknown how Ego will look like and function. However, Ego made an impressive presence in the trailer with his line, "Yes, Drax, I do have a penis."
In "Guardians of the Galaxy's" comic version, Ergo serves as both a villain and a mentor in the cosmic Marvel Universe. Ergo is a cosmic being found deep in space that may have questionable morals.
Sneak Peek At 'Guardians Of The Galaxy' Vol. 2
While the trailer isn't yet available online, Gizmodo described how the trailer for "Guardians of the Galaxy" turned out. The trailer opened with Fleetwood Mac's "Break the Chain," followed by the appearance of the team fighting off a huge galactic creature.
The trailer also revealed Iesha, one of "Guardians of the Galaxy's" new villains. The space superheroes also donned new costumes and looks. Yondu becomes a member of the team, so is Nebula. Meanwhile, Sylvester Stallone is seen as a member of the Nova Corps.
