“DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” has buckled down to work as the cast and crew prepare for its second season. Leaks and teases from stars of the show have come out, including a tweet from executive producer Marc Guggenheim.
Guggenheim’s tweet showed the official title of the first episode (“Out of Time”) though what interests viewers the most is the actual plot for “Legends of Tomorrow”, Screen Rant reported.
Recapping Season 1 finale
As a refresher, it would be best to take into account what happened before season 1 of “Legends of Tomorrow” closed out.
Recall that “Hawkman” (Falk Hentschel) and Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee) opted out of the team while “Captain Cold” (Wentworth Miller) sacrificed himself to save his buddy “Heat Wave” (Dominic Purcell) in a previous episode.
Before the show came to a close, another ship crash-landed on earth and revealed “Rex Tyler” (Patrick J. Adams). With reference to the Justice Society of America, he is also better known as “Hourman” who claims he was sent to that same time and place, Collider reported.
Miller is expected to return following word that he will continue to be a series regular with Hentschel and Miller potentially making occasional appearances.
The new guys
Nick Zano leads the cast of new faces. He will take on the role of “Nathan Heywood” aka “Citizen Steel”. Aside from Zano, other expected characters include “Amaya Jiwe” or “Vixen” (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) and veteran “Arrow” villain “Malcolm Merlin” (John Barrowman).
Given the stellar cast, the only thing missing right now is the synopsis of things to expect in season 2. There is also no word on who the “Legends of Tomorrow” heroes will be up against though Merlin could be in on it.
The only thing sure is that there will be more time traveling adventures ahead. “Legends of Tomorrow” officially returns on the air this Oct. 13 via CW.
