So, remember those characters that a couple of gamers found after data mining their Tekken Tag Tournament 2 disc? Turns out they'll be with us relatively soon.
Unfortunately they're all characters that are old hat to Tekken at this point, but it's a welcome addition nonetheless.
Lili's butler Sebastian, Miharu Hirano, Dr. Boskonovitch, thin Bob, Violet, and the boss of Tekken Tag Tournament 1 and 2, Unknown, are all coming to Namco Bandai's newest fighter.
In addition to the "new" playable characters, Namco Bandai is also adding new levels to the game on the same day: Russia, Saudi Arabia, Chile, and a Magic Show.
The characters won't be coming in one big chunk though, they'll be released slowly over a period of time, beginning October 9.
The Tekken series has something of a history of allowing special characters to be unlocked by completing particular actions or objectives. We're not yet sure if the characters will have to be unlocked once released, if they're automatically available upon the update.
Prior to this reveal, Harada has promised that he still has "some characters left to be revealed" that fans have asked for, and that, thankfully, "none of them are paid DLC."
Factoring this new development, this brings the already bulging roster of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 to almost 60 characters total.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is out now for PS3 and XBox 360, and will eventually be released on the Nintendo Wii U.
