Blizzard is preparing for the next "Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft" expansion. A number of speculations have surfaced on where players will venture next in the hit digital card game.
There were rumors that the new "Hearthstone" expansion may be set in Karazhan. Blizzard recently provided invitations for a Twitch event on July 28, 2016, which will most likely provide more insight to the Karazhan news.
Polygon cited that the "Hearthstone" invitation stated that the stream on their official Twitch channel will showcase a once-in-a-lifetime event that will be full of magic and celebration.
The "Hearthstone" creator teased that they have something very special prepared for those invited, hinting that they may be unveiling the next adventure.
The invitation also requested those invited to be prompt, since they have an "unforgettable adventure" planned.
VentureBeat wrote that major content is introduced to the Hearthstone game in either expansions or adventures. Expansions are released over a hundred new cards, while adventures feature fewer cards of around 30.
Adventures also feature battles against computer-controlled enemies, and a story based on content from the "World of Warcraft" game.
The recent Blizzard invite will very likely announce the next "Hearthstone" adventure set, which focuses on single player mode.
Previously, there were three full "Hearthstone" expansions that included challenging single-player boss encounters.
Blizzard last released its first big expansion for 2016 in April. The company previously shared that they plan to release a big "Hearthstone expansion at the beginning of each year." One adventure will be launched in the middle of the year, and a second huge expansion is planned before the year ends.
Based on Blizzard's previous announcement, the mid-year "Hearthstone" release is probably an adventure set. The past adventures launched for the "Hearthstone" title include WoW raids like Blackrock Mountain and Naxxramas.
The latest release was "The League of Explorers" adventure, which was based on an organization, and not a raid. The "Whispers of the Old Gods" expansion was the latest in the game, so a secondHearthstone set before 2016 ends is expected.
In the "World of Warcraft" game, Karazhan was one of the most popular raids, showcasing features like an opera house, a ballroom and a giant chess game.
The raid became a favorite among players because of its depth and exciting details.Karazhan is a magic tower, governed by the master sorcerer Medivh.
The "Hearthstone" event Twitch stream will start at 11 p.m. PT on July 28, 2016. More updates and details are expected soon.
