“Family Guy” is set to air its 15th season as it continues to be among the best alternative comedies on television. Seth MacFarlane has done a tremendous job on the animated flick though other commitments could see the coming season be the last.
Last season for the “Griffins”?
Blasting News reports on the possible scenario, pointing out how MacFarlane has time and again mentioned about ending the series. With a heavy schedule ahead of him, could it ‘really’ be the last one.
Aside from “Family Guy”, MacFarlane is also tied up to “Ted” and “A Million Ways to Die in the West”. A notable difference is that the titles mentioned are films, meaning that he could end up idle once production wraps up on the said films.
Word has it that such may not be the case. MacFarlane is reportedly set to work on a new live comedy drama that would be set in space. If all these speculations are true, “Family Guy” may fall short of matching the success of the long-running animated series, “The Simpsons”.
“Family Guy” musical finale
Assuming that the coming season is indeed the last one, all that may be capped with MacFarlane’s plan to make it a musical film and then wrap it all up. Fox has agreed to his call so that could place some meat on whether the show will indeed be ending.
“Griffins” Comic-Con Poster
While all that remains a rumor, a lighter side of things tied up to the “Griffins” comes from TVLine. The site offers an exclusive first look at the “Family Guy’s” official Comic-Con poster. From the image, it seems Peter, Lois and all their happy little accidents are ready take names on the mean streets of Quahog.
“Family Guy” is all set to air its 15th season on Sept. 25. Before that, the cast will be at Comic-Con on July 23. Will it be the last season? Only Seth MacFarlane may have the best answer to that.
