From a distance we see a military helicopter flying across a huge lush jungle. The helicopter is head towards a larger military outpost that is slightly hidden by moss and overgrows foliage.
A dark figure emerges from the shadows; he glares at the helicopter, its blades creating a maddeningly repetitious rhythm. The sound grows louder and more insistent.
The masked commando moves through the jungle towards the hypnotic sound. He reaches for his weapon, a composite bow, and pulls the chord back readying to strike. He lets an arrow flying hitting his target with a lethal accuracy.
There isn't a whole lot of footage in the new 30 second Crysis 3 Accolades trailer, but the trailer is packed with beautiful environments and engrossing visceral action.
In Cyrsis 3, gamers will take on the role of Prophet as he returns to New York. The city has been encased in a Nanodome, creating a terrain that is a veritable urban rain forest. The environment is teeming with overgrown trees, dense swamplands and raging rivers.
The game is set in 2047 or 24 years after Crysis 2. Prophet is said to be on a "revenge mission" after uncovering the truth behind the building of the quarantined Nanodomes. According to the game's official site, "a secretive military faction has set up shop in the ruins of the city. What do they want? Who are they? What have they found? Uncover their true motives and bring them down from the inside out."
These questions will be answered when the first-person shooter releases in February 2013 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 and will be released in February 2013.
