"Star Wars Battlefront" Death Star DLC for PS4, Xbox One and PC has been revealed by game developer, EA DICE, at the Star Wars Panel during the "Star Wars" Celebration Europe on July 16. The gaming company also announced that it is planning to release four expansions, with the first three slated for 2016 and the last one for 2017.
Not all the "Star Wars Battlefront" fans were able to come to London but they were still able to get a glimpse of the Death Star expansion through the event. "Death Star," the third expansion following the release of "Outer Rim" and "Bespin" DLC, is expected to be fully operational by September while the fourth and last DLC titled the "Rogue One: Scarif" may come in early 2017.
Commenting on the series of expansion packs that are set to be released, lead designer Dennis Brannvall said on a post at Star Wars website, "It's been about six months since we first launched Star Wars Battlefront. We have expanded the game universe with free multi-player maps and called on Jabba the Hutt to hand out Hutt Contracts for powerful weapons, now it's time to share something a bit different."
As shared by EA DICE, the upcoming "Star Wars Battlefront" Death Star expansion pack will introduce many updates and here are some of the major things to look forward to:
1. New Heroes - Two new characters are going to be introduced and they are Chewbacca and the bounty hunter Bossk.
2.Space Combat - Since the DLC will include battles outside of the Death star, the game developer is adding new maps to allow such space battles.
3. Multi-Stage Gameplay - Players can try out their skills by getting through a deep trench on the outer boundary of the Death Star.
4. New Vehicles - The DLC will add more vehicles, star Cards and blasters that the players can use to hone their skills.
Finally, aside from the given additions, EA DICE relayed that the "Star Wars Battlefront" Death Star expansion is coming with new modes and weapons that will further heighten the excitement in the gameplay. For fans who do not go online often, the offline version will surely be a treat, and it will be available on July 21.
