'Quantico' Season 2 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: New Recurring Cast Released; Will Claire Come Back?

The "Quantico" season 2 family is growing. We reported last week that the show has added South African actress Pearl Thusi to play lawyer Dayana Mampasi and Blair Underwood as CIA officer Owen Hall in the upcoming season of the highly anticipated ABC drama, and this time, three more characters are being added into the mix in what is turning out to be an exciting new season.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, three new faces are being added into the "Quantico" season 2 roster, and they are Tracy Ifeachor, David Lim, and Aaron Diaz. Ifeachor will bring life to actuary Lydia Bates, who according to the media outlet has "a few twists up her sleeve." The 31-year old British actress is best known for her appearance on The CW's "The Originals," where she played Aya Al-Rashid in nine episodes.

Meanwhile, Lim will play Sebastian Chen, a future agent who is described as "focused and confident." what his role in Alex Parrish's (Priyanka Chopra) life remains to be seen in "Quantico" season 2, as no further details have been disclosed about his character. Lim has appeared in The CW's "Supergirl" and "90210."

The 34-year old Diaz is bringing his charms to "Quantico" season 2 when he plays León Velez, a photojournalist who is all work and no play. Diaz previously appeared in the Telemundo production "Tierra de Reyes" and transitioned into American television with ABC's "Pan Am."

There's a few more months before "Quantico" season 2 arrives, but executive producer Josh Safran promises that the show will have direct ties to the devastating season finale, which aired last May. In fact, he shared that Claire's (Marcia Cross) escape will factor in how the show moves forward during its sophomore season.

"I would say the tie between season 1 and season 2 is primarily with Claire...it’s more about the idea that she’s out there and that she got away," Safran admitted to Entertainment Weekly. "Will she do something bad again or will she make up for all the bad that she’s done?"

Whether or not Claire comes back to redeem herself or cause more trouble remains to be seen. "Quantico" returns to ABC this September 25 at 9 p.m.
