Justice League Of America Cast: There May Be Batmen and Supermen

In 2008 a film adaptation of Justice League Of America almost came to the big screen. The proposed version would have been directed by George Miller and starred Concerning the eponymous Justice League, Adam Brody had been cast as Barry Allen as The Flash, - with D.J. Cotrona as Superman, rapper Common as the John Stewart incarnation of Green Lantern, Australian model Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, Armie Hammer as Batman, Santiago Cabrera as Aquaman, and Hugh Keays as The Martian Manhunter.

However as we know, the film never came into fruition. Many have speculated that director Christopher Nolan did not want to have two actors portraying Batman at the same time. This could have caused some confusion with the audience. Recently it has been reported that a new Batman would be rebooted through the JLA movie, but now comes a conflicting report from website Batman-on-Film.

The website says that it has heard, via a longtime source that Warner Bros. "has at least considered the possibility" of multiple actors playing the roles of Batman, Superman and Wonder Women onscreen.

This is only a rumor and the studio has not made any announcement concerning details about the future of their DC superheroes. But this rumor is pretty interesting and goes with what the studio has done in the past. The studio had the opportunity to re-launch the Superman film franchise with "Smallville" actor Tom Welling but opted to go in a different direction that eventually led to "Superman Returns."

Here is a list of who I would like to see take the roles of Superman and Batman in two separate film franchises.

Batman Reboot: I would like Warner Bros. to think outside of the box and cast an older actor to portray the Dark Knight. I would like to see a live action version of "The Dark Knight Returns. "I wish Bruce Willis were a little bit younger and a little bit more physically intimidating. How bout Don Draper of "Mad Men." Actor Jon Hamm is in his 40s and has the ability to appear as younger Bruce Wayne earlier in the film.  A little bit of makeup and he can become a haggard and aged Batman. I would also love to see Jack Nicholson return as the Joker awaken from a catatonic state at Arkham Asylum, but he is nearly 80-years-old. So how bout casting Daniel Day-Lewis as the crown prince of crime? I think he can convey a Joker pretending to be sane and remorseful, while hiding his sinister plans. I think by making a live action version of "The Dark Knight Returns," Warner Bros. can fast track the film with out hurting too many feelings.

Justice League of America Batman: With the possibility of two actors playing the role, I think the JLA version should be younger. The actor who portrays Batman in the JLA film will have to be in for the long-term. Jake Gyllenhaal maybe in his 30s but still looks youthful enough to play a young Batman. I just hope he could do something about his vocals. He sounds prepubescent in some of his roles.

Man of Steel: This one is easy. How about the guy who is already in the film? Henry Cavill has already won the role and lets see how he does.

Justice League of America Superman: I'm going with Smallville's Tom Welling, in all the years that this guy played the role of Clark Kent he only got to wear the costume once. I really hope that Warner Bros. doesn't do the whole multiple actors thing. But I can deal with Welling playing the role again.
