2K Sports is expected to reveal a bigger and better WWE 2K17. One of the notable highlights for WWE 2K16 was its massive roster which had over 150 different playable characters.
With that said, 2K Sports is expected to raise the bar and likely offer more than what they offered last time out. This could hint at more than 150 WWE stars appearing with (hopefully) no duplication similar to WW 2K16.
Confirmed Stars
WWE 2K16 started with a core of 120 stars with the rest arriving through DLC means. It remains to be seen what 2K will have for this year’s edition though a safe guess is that it will not be below the 120 character mark.
Focusing on that niche, who could be appearing? Game Spot notes that there are already personalities confirmed for WWE 2K17. Leading the pack are current top stars John Cena as well as some new and rising names in the company.
Joining Cena and Lesnar are diva Sasha Banks and Apollo Crews alongside NXT’s Shinsuke Nakamura and Nia Jax. WWE 2K will of course not be complete without the legends. Bill Goldberg and “The Ultimate Warrior” are confirmed, rounding up the first batch of stars for WWE 2K17.
Who else?
Aside from the names mentioned above, there is no confirmation on who else will be included. Most of the regular stars are obviously following soon. The WWE is working with a big roster at the moment, thanks to the influx of new stars.
Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and AJ Styles are expected to be included, not to mention “New Day” and “The Club”.
So for those wondering how massive the WWE 2K17 roster will be, a simple glance at the TV shows will give you an idea. WWE 2K17 is expected to be officially released on Oct. 11.
