Aliens: Colonial Marines New Trailer Revealed (Watch Here)

Focusing on the humans in the dark chamber the creature stalks his prey. There are thousands of anonymous attack points in the corridor. A young marine clenches his still-boyish jaw and grips the trigger of his flamethrower tighter.

The lead xenomorph, only 15 feet away, explodes into a run at the marine. Two other soldiers step towards the oncoming Alien and blast it with gunfire creating a mist of acidic vapors. The marines' lungs erupt in biting agony.

Every trailer released for Sega and Gearbox's upcoming Aliens: Colonial Marines, conjures up claustrophobic fear. I keep remembering those great moments in the film series that made my heart jump into my throat and made my stomach go queasy. Sega has released a new trailer that showcases some of the most iconic characters in the Alien universe.

Characters such as: Private Drake, Pvt Hudson, Sergeant Apone and of course, Corporal Hicks will be included in the game as character skins for those who pre order the game. Gamers will also be given Ripley's flamethrower as another pre-order perk.

The game is meant to be a true sequel to James Cameron's film, with the story of Aliens: Colonial Marines taking place after the events of the third film, Alien 3. 20th Century Fox considers the game an official part of the Alien franchise's canon.

The story is told through the eyes of Corporal Christopher Winter, a Colonial Marine who is part of a search and rescue team sent to investigate the U.S.S. Sulaco in search of Ellen Ripley and the rest of the missing marines who were dispatched to LV-426.

The franchise's main protagonist does not appear to in the new trailer. So I guess we won't see Ripley versus a Queen Alien.

Aliens: Colonial Marines is set for release on Feb. 12, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360.
