'Justice League' Not Part of Warner Bros' Comic Con 2016 Lineup; 'Batman v Superman' Ultimate Edition Available as Digital Download

While lots of people are gearing up for San Diego Comic Con next weekend, some fans are going to be devastated to know that DC's "Justice League" is not part of Warner Bros.' Comic Con 2016 lineup.

Comic Con is often the venue to show fans a first glimpse of a yet-under production film, or announce dates on when highly anticipated films will hit theaters. At this point, it seems that the studio is keeping tight lipped on any details about "Justice League," which brings together the world's mightiest heroes and will debut sometime in 2017.

According to IGN, Warner Bros. will be featuring the upcoming "Wonder Woman" and the highly anticipated "Suicide Squad" during next week's San Diego Comic Con in an event hosted by Conan O'Brien, but the studio refrained from including "Justice League" in its lineup. However, fans will get to see "Wonder Woman" director Patty Jenkins alongside the film's stars, Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, and Connie Nielsen. For "Suicide Squad" fans, Will Smith, Jared Leto, and Margot Robbie will be at the event, together with director David Ayer.

While "Justice League" will not be part of Warner Bros.' Comic Con 2016 lineup, it may be possible that the studio is just keeping things under wraps for an even more exiciting reveal. It's a lot like reverse psychology--maybe they have cooked up something special for the fans and are in fact playing coy about it. Nonetheless, attendees will be treated to special events to promote several highly anticipated Warner Bros. films, including J.K. Rowling's "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," "The LEGO Batman Movie," and "Kong: Skull Island."

In the meantime, fans can enjoy "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition," the extended version of the film that features 30 additional minutes of narrative. It is currently available as a digital download, and will be released via Blu-ray and DVD come July 19. Check out the trailer below.
