On the heels of MMA fighter Mila being revealed, Famitsu magazine has posted pictures showcasing a new fighter to make her debut in DOA 5, that of Virtua Fighter's own movie star, Pai Chan. Daughter of other virtua figher Lau Chan, Pai has been a selectable character since Virtua Fighter began in 1993. In DOA 5, she joins fellow Virtua Fighter alumni Akira Yuki and Sarah Bryant.

As can also be seen in the pictures, and previously seen only in trailers, the elderly gentleman smacking Pai around is longtime DOA fighter Gen Fu, who has also been officially confirmed as being playable in game. Despite being a bit on the slower side, Gen's single strikes are capable of causing massive damage.
In addition to the new fighters, Dead or Alive 5 also includes a wealth of new online features:
* Up to 16-player online tournaments will allow combatants to set up their own bracket-style tournaments.
* Fighter list allows players to view opponents' battle records and call them out to fight at anytime.
* An online dojo allows players to practice with others in training mode.
* Spectator feature allows players to chat while watching online battles.
* Players can also claim bragging rights by posting titles and sharing fighting records with friends on Facebook.
There will also be an improved Training Mode that lets players control more features than the any previous Dead or Alive game. A wealth of options are now available on the settings screen for players to adjust the AI opponent's behavior, such as input recording, recovery time from staggers and more.
Dead or Alive 5 launches on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation3 later this month, September 28.
