The rounds of "Overwatch" characters adjustments continue with the new patch for the game. However, it's not just adjustments that the patch brings, it also introduces a new "Overwatch"character Ana that is sure to make the "Overwatch" gameplay even more exciting.
New "Overwatch" Character - Ana
Currently being tested in the "Overwatch" public test servers is a new "Overwatch" character Ana. The new character is said to be a support sniper and people's imagination are already working overtime how to utilize her best.
Ana is not just the usual "Overwatch" character support though. The best way to describe her is probably a cross between Mercy and Widowmaker, reports Kotaku.
Unlike the other healer "Overwatch" character Mercy who can either heal allies or damage enemies but not both at the same time, Ana doesn't have that restriction apparently. In fact, she is said to be able to indiscriminate fire her sniper rifle; if it hits an ally, it heals but if it hits an enemy, it does damage.
Aside from her rifle, she also has her grenade. And it basically does the same thing as her rifle, it's a combo heal and weapon. If she is wounded, she can just drop the grenade and Ana, as well as other ally "Overwatch" characters nearby, gets a significant part of their health back. Of course, it has an opposite effect on her enemies.
In addition, she has that nasty sleeping dart that forces enemies to take a rest in the middle of battle. Nasty indeed.
Other "Overwatch" Characters To Be Updated
But it's not just Ana that will be introduced by the new patch that is still being tested. Other "Overwatch" characters will get some adjustments with the coming patch to balance.
For example, Widowmaker also known as D.Va, will get another adjustment in the coming patch. Widowmaker's defense matrix shield will be enhanced, reports GameSpot. Her shield's cool down is shortened from ten to one second but it will now cost a resource.
Zenyatta will have major changes as well. In fact, Zenyatta will the most affected among the "Overwatch" character with the coming patch. His shield base will be increased by 50 so he starts out with 150 shield and 50 health. His Orb of Discord and Orb of Harmony is faster now, both will be increase from 120 from 30.
Devs have been continuously upgrading "Overwatch" characters for a more balanced "Overwatch" gameplay. While extensive, this upcoming patch will not be the last.
