Filming has begun for "Supernatural" season 12, which returns to The CW this October.
Like many season enders, the finale of season 11 left fans and viewers with a ton of questions, one of them being, how will the dynamics change now that Sam and Dean's mother, Mary Winchester, is back from the dead? Moreover, is Sam even alive after he was shot by one of the members of the new Men of Letters chapter? Is Castiel even going to come back after he was banished by Toni? There's so many loose ends that need to be tied up once the show returns.
Fans would be glad to know, however, that filming has began for "Supernatural" season 12. In fact, Jared Padalecki took to Twitter to share that they have started filming, and that TV Guide has a special cover featuring himself and co-star Jensen Ackles for the Comic-Con issue. Speaking of Comic Con, the San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) is coming up in a few days, which means that fans will get even more details about the upcoming season.
According to Misha Collins, who stars as fan favorite Castiel, "Supernatural" season 12 will honor the series' early beginnings by "getting back to the show's roots." He told Nerdist in a recent chat that he is very excited that the upcoming season will feel a lot like "Supernatural's" earlier seasons. What's even more interesting is that Collins shared how his character will be more like the early Castiel fans knew from the beginning.
"Cas has got his mojo back. Finally. I’m so excited about that. I’m excited to see it unfold," Collins admitted. "I have a feeling that the fans won’t be disappointed."
"Supernatural" season 2 returns to The CW on October 13, Thursday, at 9 p.m.
