'Game of Thrones' Season 7 Theory: What Is Jon Snow's Real Name? Daenerys Targaryen Might Have The Clue!

The world finally knows the truth about Jon Snow, thanks to "Game of Thrones" Season 6 Episode 10. Bran Stark finally got to the shocking conclusion of his Tower of Joy vision, where he found out that his Aunt Lyanna actually had a baby with Rhaegar Targaryen.

But what was the name that Lyanna and Rhaegar chose for their son of ice and fire (pun intended, of course)? Although the "Game of Thrones" viewers did not hear it, Daenerys Targaryen might have a hint and it could be revealed in "Game of Thrones" Season 7!

"His Name Is ... [Not Jon Snow, Anything But That]"

In the "Game of Thrones" Season 6 finale, Ned Stark and the time-travelling Bran were the only ones who heard the name Lyanna Stark chose for baby Jon Snow.

For argument's sake, it is hard to imagine that Lyanna and Rhaegar would agree to call their son "Jon Snow". It is possible that they had a more Targaryen-themed moniker lined up for the baby, but will the name be revealed in "Game of Thrones" Season 7?

It probably doesn't matter, since he will always be known as Jon Snow to "Game of Thrones" fans. However, Daenerys Targaryen offered a clue to Jon's possible name if Robert Baratheon's Rebellion did not happen.

Daenerys Targaryen's Vision In The House Of The Undying

One of Dany's visions in the novel "A Clash of Kings" showed Rhaegar choosing the name Aegon for his second child with Elia Martell. She later speaks to Jorah Mormont about the vision, noting that Rhaegar had a pattern in naming his children.

Aegon, Rhaenys And Visenya Targaryen

Dany pointed out that Rhaegar had named his daughter after Queen Rhaenys Targaryen and his son after Aegon I. She also states that there was no child named after Aegon's other Queen Visenya and that would be the dragon's third missing head.

Did Rhaegar and Lyanna name Jon Snow after Visenya Targaryen? This would certainly make sense if Rhaegar was hoping to complete the three heads of the dragon.

Do you think Jon Snow's real name is a version of Visenya Targaryen's? What do you think is Jon Snow's real name? Let us know in the comments.
