Mike Judge's "Beavis and Butt-Head" on MTV has been a huge success in the 90s. While Judge has made successful projects since then, the director admits on the possibility of reviving the 90's favourite into a live-action film.
'Beavis And Butt-Head' Live Action
Mike Judge recently sat down with RadioTimes and revealed that he gets nostalgic about his first ever big hit on television.
"Beavis and Butt-Head" aired on MTV in the 90's, eventually ending in 1997. In 2011, the series was shortly brought back but writer Mike Judge is thinking of bringing the series to fans' screens once more.
Mike Judge mentioned that he is thinking of reviving "Beavis and Butt-Head," even exploring the idea of bringing the series into a live-action film someday. However, the writer failed to disclose casting choices for "Beavis and Butt-Head."
While fans may find it hard to imagine a real "Beavis and Butt-Head," Mike Judge offered that he can only imagine Beavis to be homeless by now. This statement could mean that Judge may tell the story of "Beavis and Butt-Head" as adults, Cinema Blend suggested.
However, the website admits that it may just be an off the cuff remark and may not mean anything.
'Beavis And Butt-Head' In The 90's
In the cartoons, "Beavis and Butt-Head" story was set in high school. It was an animated series Mike Judge created in 1993, which was originally made as a short. MTV then turned it into a series.
"Beavis and Butt-Head" ran for 200 episodes until 1997. Later on, it inspired an animated film titled "Beavis and Butt-Head Do America."
As of the moment, Mike Judge is currently occupied with HBO hit series, "Silicon Valley." It remains to be seen if Judge will follow through with his musings about "Beavis and Butt-Head." This especially the 90's are making a comeback with revivals of "X-Files," "Full House" and "Legends of the Hidden Temple."
