Production for "Sense8" Season 2 is still underway, but the show is already teasing fans with official photos on its Instagram page. One of the photos that caught fans' attention is that of Rajan (Purab Kohli) and Kala (Tina Desai).
The engaged couple is locked in a loving embrace as Kala and Rajan stare into each other's eyes.
In recall, Kala was hesitant about the prospect of marriage, particularly in "Sense8" Season 1, after Wolfgang (Max Riemelt) appeared in one of her visions. Although Rajan loved her dearly and genuinely wanted to marry her, Kala only accepted the proposal to make her family happy.
As they are connected to each other as sensates, Kala witnessed Wolfgang killing his uncle, after which Wolfgang told Kala he should marry Rajan. It appears that after getting cold feet in "Sense8" Season 1, Kala may make the decision to wholeheartedly accept Rajan as his husband in "Sense8" Season 2.
However, this doesn't necessarily mean that Kala and Wolfgang are endgame. In an interview with Buzzfeed, Desai revealed that "there's also the love story that continues with both boys," which hints that there will still be something between her and Wolfgang.
Aside from her romantic relationship with Wolfgang and Rajan, much of Kala's storyline in "Sense8" Season 2 will focus on her scientific contributions to the group.
Meanwhile, Purab Kohli will have a bigger role in "Sense8" Season 2, Indian Express reported. In the first season, Kohli only had minor appearances.
In other news, Max Riemelt promised that "Sense8" Season 2 will be "pushing the boundaries," as the show will be much more interconnected plus there would be more sex and more violence. While the first outing was more of an introduction to the sensates and how their powers operate, "Sense8" Season 2 will put them into action as they work towards defeating the Whispers, played by Terrence Mann.
As of this writing, there's still no official release date for "Sense8" Season 2. However, actress Jamie Clayton tweeted that "Sense8" Season 2's pilot episode will premiere on Netflix on Christmas Day, while the rest of the episodes will be released in 2017.
