“Suicide Squad” is the next big flick that comic book fans are eager to see and one of the standout stars is the one portrayed by actress Margot Robbie – Harley Quinn.
Comic readers are likely familiar with Harley Quinn, a trouble-causing villain that is pretty much deranged. While her uncanny character points to a mentally unstable nature, Margot Robbie seems to have caught up and studied on the villain’s past to portray her in the best possible way for “Suicide Squad."
'Suicide Squad' member Harley Quinn was a gymnast
"Suicide Squad" hero Harley Quinn carries impressive flexibility and the reason behind that was because she was formerly a gymnast. This was revealed by Margot Robbie via a Vanity Fair interview.
The revelation hardly comes as a surprise especially for folks who may have already seen the “Suicide Squad” trailer. Her ability to hang from ceilings is evident and more are likely to be seen in the action-packed flick.
Dysfunctional but devoted 'Suicide Squad' member
Harley Quinn is someone closely tied to another villain, the “Joke” (Jared Leto). If the animation version is to be considered, expect a lot of love-hate scenarios between the two in the "Suicide Squad" movie. Their relationship is dysfunctional and such is expected to be the same in the film as singled out by Comicbook.com.
Margo Robbie’s rendition has so far gained positive feedback and her presumed study on the villain is seen as the prime reason. In fact, the whole effort may have panned out seeing that Harley Quinn may be getting a future solo project after the "Suicide Squad" film.
Aside from being a gymnast, Harley Quinn was a former psychiatrist from New York who fell for the Joker while the latter was undergoing therapy in "Suicide Squad." Batman’s arch enemy eventually became a love interest and such resulted in Harley being the Joker’s sidekick.
Margot Robbie has been busy these days. Aside from “Suicide Squad”, she also stars on the recently released “Legend of Tarzan”. She also had roles in the past on “The Wolf of Wall Street”. Another film she will appear in is “Terminal” directed by Vaughn Stein.
