You won't like him when he is angry. The emotional and impulsive alter ego of Dr. Bruce Banner is a combination of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and the monster of Frankenstein. He is also the breakout star of Marvel's recent "Avengers" film. His on screen battles left theatergoers cheering and laughing.
And if you can't wait to see the Hulk smack the "Mad Titan," Thanos across the silver screen, then I got some wonderful news for you. Marvel is releasing the Avengers Initiative game, an action RPG for smartphones and tablets.
The game's first episode features the "Green Goliath" himself, the Incredible Hulk, as he batters and smashes his way through a hack and slash beat'em up RPG. In the trailer the Hulks battles the Super-Skrull, Wendigo and the Abomination.
The game will be released in episodic fashion, with the first game will be on sale tomorrow for iOS and Android for $6.99. The first episode is starring the aforementioned green machine of destruction the Incredible Hulk, while subsequent releases will feature Captain America, Iron Man and Thor. Marvel has yet to reveal which of the super heroes will appear in the next installment of the series.
Avengers Initiative features a game play style that is very similar to the Infinity Blade series. It is an on-rail RPG were players use the touch screen to side-step attacks or dish out their own brand of melee combat. There is leveling-up system and a marketplace that lets you buy new costumes for the Hulk as well as enhancements to make your hero more powerful. The game features a rage meter that allows player to perform a Hulk super move, once the meter is full.
The game cost $6.99 and is available tomorrow on iOS and Android devices. The game also connects with the Facebook version via Marvel XP.
