Heavy hitting combos totaling over a dozen hits (and sometimes more) are nothing new to the world of Tekken, but never before have they been this...well, crazy. In Namco's newest video for Tekken Tag Tournament 2, "Combo Mastery" shows you the combos you'll get arthritis trying to perfect, and how infuriating it'll be being trapped in the air for a seemingly indefinite amount of time.
In addition to combos, the game will feature thoroughly more interactive environments of past Tekkens. Players can be slammed through walls and floors alike, leading to new areas for players to fight in. What's more, after you get bashed through a wall, your opponent's partner could be waiting for your ragdoll body to fall to them and continue a punishing combo.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will have the most characters in the franchise's history at over 50, including all the characters from the last installment, Tekken 6.
The game will also come up a copy of the movie "Tekken: Blood Vengeance," and an HD version of the first Tekken Tag game, which was met with great reception, selling over 4 million copies and was greeted with excellent reviews. PSM declared it as the best game of the series in 2008.
The game will also have a slew of pre-order benefits, including:
- Exclusive Characters: Depending on the retailer, players will have immediate access to 2 of the following characters at launch:
* Michelle Chang and Angel
* Kunimitsu and Ancient Ogre
- The Snoop Dogg Stage: This fighting arena continues a tradition of iconic stage backgrounds throughout TEKKEN history, with the Doggfather making an appearance as a non-playable character. The legend himself has also composed and performed an exclusive track 'Knocc 'em Down' which will feature in this stage.
- The Big Bikini Bundle: More than 150 swimsuits offer a very different style of costume for all characters, even Panda and Kuma!
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 hits PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 11, with a future release planned for a later date for Nintendo's Wii U.
