For more than two decades, former heavyweight boxing champion, Mike Tyson has captivated a devoted audience of boxing enthusiasts, sports entertainment fans and those who just want to see what he will do next.
The WWE's Paul Heyman recently sat down with the boxing legend for an exclusive interview, covering Tyson's career and WWE '13 appearance. The former champ discusses what drew him to the WWE in the "Attitude Era."
"I was just proud and very happy that they allowed me to be involved," Tyson says in the interview. I didn't really know how big that was. I just did for my self-grandeur. I wanted to be with them, on television with them. I wanted everyone to see me and have everybody worship me. It is one my prolific moments in life."
Tyson details why low self-esteem played a role in his escapades in the ring and how fighters feed of the emotions and cheers of the crowd.
"All fighters that's what we live for the crowd," Tyson says. "That is where it comes from the big ego and low self-esteem and I always learned to shun the flattery. I don't have no real good self-esteem by myself, so I become these other guys."
Tyson also discussed how he always wanted to be a WWE superstar and win a championship and gives rundown of what he will be doing with his in-game character in WWE '13.
Tyson is available as an add-on for gamer's who pre-order WWE'13. The game releases on Oct. 30, for the PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360.
