Fans are asking for a biopic on Marvel creator Stan Lee and already have the perfect actor to take on the role. People have been asking for a movie based on the life of the 93-year-old comic book legend, to be played by Brian Cranston, star of "Breaking Bad."
A fan-made poster recently surfaced online, featuring Brian Cranston as Stan Lee in the 1960's/70's. The caption stated that the best way to rule the universe is to create it.
CinemaBlend wrote that Stan Lee has established himself as one of the great comic book creators in history in the past 70 years.
Stan Lee is the man behind several of Marvel's most popular superheroes and villains like "Spider-Man," "Iron Man," "X-Men," "Thor," "The Hulk" and many more.
He has also appeared in numerous cameo roles in Marvel movies, with people looking forward to when he is going to pop out next.
Lee is probably the most famous comic book creator at present, which also means that if a biopic would be made among the legends, he will most likely be the first to be featured.
For fans who have been clamoring for a Stan Lee movie, many believe that Brian Cranston would be the ideal person for the job. The fan-created poster provided a striking resemblance between the two.
Cranston also made a huge impact playing bad teacher Walter White in "Breaking Bad." He is expected to provide some color and interesting takes on the life and personality of Stan Lee if a movie indeed happens.
In the meantime, Cranston has an upcoming film, "The Infiltrator," where one image of him in sunglasses was actually used by the fan in making the Stan Lee movie poster.
ComicBook wrote that the studio will initially need to cast a younger actor to play the younger Lee in the 1940s. However, the availability of modern tech and makeup can actually be used on Cranston to make him look a few decades younger.
The same approach can also be used to show him in his later stages. It will also be interesting to see the supporting cast who will play other Marvel members like Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, Stan's wife Joan, and more.
Although the Stan Lee movie project seems to be a farfetched possibility at present, fans can look forward to more of his cameo appearances in several upcoming Marvel films.
More updates and details are expected soon.
