'Captain America: Civil War' News & Update: Blu-Ray And Digital Versions Coming In September

Captain America: Civil War has been listed as 2016's highest-grossing movie after earning more than $400 million at the box office. For fans who want to watch the flick over and over again, Marvel Studios announced a good news - "Captain America" is going to be released on DVD, Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D formats on Sept.13. Digital versions of the flick will also be made available on Sept. 2.

The DVD and Blu-ray versions of "Civil War" are already up for pre-order. The release date is still months away and to make sure that avid fans will get their own copy, they can reserve now via Amazon.

Digital editions will also allow viewers to watch "Captain America: Civil War" on Disney Movies Anywhere and On Demand. However, the different formats do not offer the same features. Perhaps, the digital and Blu-ray versions are the best to get since they will have the most features including:

Deleted/Extended Scenes: Fans will get to see never-before-seen clips. Many scenes that were not yet revealed as they were cut or edited from the finished movie will be included in the collection.

The Making of "Captain America: Civil War" Part 1 & Part 2: Viewers will know how the heroes are divided. It will show how filmmakers decide which heroes will be on the same team. The filming of action sequences and how they were done will be showed as well.

"Captain America: The Road to Civil War": How did Steve Roger became a superhero? His story from aspirant soldier to superhero will be revealed.

"Iron Man: The Road to Civil War": This clip will depict how billionaire Tony Stark transitioned to a superhero. Gag Reel: It is common for films to show bloopers at the end of the movie and the collection will have this feature too. Watch the cast burst into laughter as they forget their lines or messed up their acting, especially during fighting scenes.

There will also be an audio commentary where directors Joe Russo and Anthony Russo will discuss about the issues they encountered while making "Captain America." Screenwriters Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus will also share their thoughts on the same subject.

As a bonus, preview of the next Marvel movie " Doctor Strange," will be included. This film is coming to theaters on Nov. 4.

Finally, as mentioned on Entertainment Weekly, one feature that fans will not see in the upcoming physical copy and digital editions is a one-shot short film which Marvel stopped producing two years ago.
