The "Gilmore Girls" is coming back in a revival show brought to viewers by Netflix. The show will be called "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" and was available for streaming since July 1.
In the promo clip for the show, Lauren Graham was standing in front of a backdrop showing Rory Gilmore and Lorelai Gilmore's cozy town.
Signs were held up showing that the original series will be viewable in countries like Saudi Arabia, Italy, France and Argentina. Lauren Graham explained that wherever Netflix is available, people can watch "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" as well.
Graham further encouraged people who have not seen "Gilmore Girls" before to watch, saying that this is now their chance to see it, Refinery 29 shared.
Netflix announced their revival of the show back in January. They said that they will bring it back nine yearsafter it was originally broadcasted from 2000-2007.
It is reported that the "Gilmore Girls" reboot will be four 90-minute long episodes. Each episode will represent a new season.
The revival of the show reunited a lot of actors including Scott Patterson (Luke Danes), Alexis Bledel (Rory Gilmore), Melissa McCarthy (Sookie St. James), Jared Padalecki (Dean Forester), Milo Ventimiglia (Jess Mariano) and Matt Czuchry (Logan Huntzberger).
The plot of the revival series will delve more into Michel Gerard's personal life. Yanic Truesdale, who played Michel's character gave some teasers on the storyline.
Truesdale said that fans will learn more about Michel, who is the snobbish but hilarious and lovable employee in Dragonfly Inn.
He expounded that fans have not seen a lot of him outside work. He recalled that the character was in fact inside the Inn majority of the time. This time around, fans will get a glimpse of his activities and life outside the Inn.
This new exploration in the plot offers new characters and new conflicts to arise within the show, making it more interesting to both old and new viewers of the series.
It seems that Truesdale is excited as the fans and viewers are in terms of exploring Michel's storyline. He says that he likes this move as an actor since it gives his character a deeper and meaningful backstory.
He further explained that his character definitely has a story arc and intriguing happening in his life and this affect Michel's character personality.
Truesdale also added that he is happy to know that minor characters will not be side tracked in the revival of the show. He further teased that viewers will now know why Michel is cranky majority of the time.
Graham, who plays Lorelai Gilmore in the series talked about her comeback for the role last January. She shared that it may seem that the fans wanted the revival to push through badly enough since they did not stop asking for it, US Magazine reported.
