‘Supergirl’ Season 2 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: Jeremiah Danvers Making Uncanny Return? New Plot Details Revealed [PREDICTIONS]

“Supergirl” is the lone series on CW’s superhero line up without a storyline but David Harewood may have just answered all that. Harewood, who plays the “Martian Manhunter” or “J’onn J’onzz” posted a photo on Instagram in what is believed to be the title for the series premiere.

Looking at the IG post of Harewood, it hardly impresses if you are not a DC comic follower. For the ones who lived the old “Adventures of Superman” in the 50s or 60s or even the 90s rendition (“Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman”), the post hints at a flashback of sorts.

With new adventures for the “Girl of Steel” it will be interesting what CW has lined up. Speaking of Dean Cain, there is word that the former “Superman” may be returning in season 2.

Dean Cain returns in 'Super Girl' Season 2

Dean Cain played Jeremiah Danvers in season one, Kara’s adoptive father. While the mix surrounding his disappearance led many to believe he was dead, “J’onn” explained that it wasn’t the case.

This belief has now been backed by executive producer Andrew Kreisberg via EW. He hinted that Jeremiah may be returning though there could be something different to expect.

“You should question everything. Until you see Jeremiah Danvers walk through the front door, everything can be questioned.”

Last season, Jeremiah was linked to “Project Cadmus” and had initially worked with real “Hank Henshaw”. He was the one who initially found the “Martian Manhunter” before things got awry.

Plenty of ground to cover in 'Super Girl' Season 2

Interesting now is what Kreisberg meant about the whole Jeremiah Danvers angle. Will he simply pop up and knock on “Kara/ Supergirl’s” door? Will he have any changes in tow as a result of his work tied up to “Project Cadmus”?

It will be interesting how things pan up but hopefully there will be more spills from Harewood or even other cast members like Melissa Benoist.

“Supergirl” season 2 returns on CW this October 10 per Screen Rant.
