Carrier Command: Gaea Mission Release Date Announced

Rising Star Games has announced that Carrier Command: Gaea Mission will release on Oct. 2, on both Xbox 360 and PC. The game is being developed by Bohemia Interactive, the studio behind the Arma series and DayZ.

Carrier Command: Gaea Mission is a modern remake of the 1980s computer game, Carrier Command and takes place in a futuristic setting on an alien planet-moon, where the objective is to conquer and control islands.

The game's plot involves the planet-moon of Taurus, which is a crucial battleground in the war between the United Earth Coalition and the Asian Pacific Alliance. Battles take place over air, land and sea and the player is equipped with a carrier that can contain up to 4 aerial units and four amphibious units.

Carrier Command: Gaea Mission's islands are composed of 6 distinct climatic zones, including Wastelands, Arctic, Marshlands, Volcanic, Mountains and Temperate. The game features real-time weather and time.
