The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 speculations continue to rise as expected with about a month to go before the famed phablet comes out in the open. And the features continue to pile up leading up to its highly awaited debut.
The Galaxy Note 7 may have its work cut out for it, seeing how the device is expected to end Samsung’s year with a bang. Previous posts have already tackled on several features that the Samsung phablet may features.
That includes the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 sporting a curved display similar to the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, dual rear cameras and new S Note App that is similar to the ‘recycle bin’ most may have come across on PCs.
There is also that part about the slight change in battery. Instead of a 4,000 mAh battery, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will sport a slightly lower 3,400 mAh. Here is a link to that post.
With most of that technically unofficial, in comes another rumored feature that should get Samsung Galaxy Note 7 fans excited and it has to do with the front cameras.
Triple-Lens Front Camera on board?
Like Apple, Samsung has been frantically filing patents one after the other. Among the trademarks include the “Samsung Iris” and the “Samsung Eyeprint”.
As reported by Forbes, these could be part of Samsung’s plans to enforce better security for its devices, including the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Eye scanners could be another feature happening, something that may be present with the new front-facing three-camera system described in the patent filed last June 23.
Coming with the three lenses are an infrared illuminator that will help assist the iris recognition feature. One of the three lenses could be dedicated to capturing infrared images with its exposure controlled independently from the remaining lenses, accounting for better captures even in low-light situations.
The new feature could be another one worth looking forward to though it is best to take it lightly for now. If not the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, perhaps future smartphones that Samsung will be offering in the future.
