Playing the "Game of Thrones" has been proven to be a life threatening activity which is why it goes without saying that most of the characters in the HBO hit TV series are bound to die.
As fans are getting over the most shocking deaths in season 6, they are now looking forward to which "Game of Thrones" characters will meet their demise this coming season 7. Since Arya Stark is back and ready to cross out more names off her kill list, Cersei Lannister and Sandor "The Hound" Clegane are expected to go down soon.
Time said that aside from the two, the young Stark's kill list also included Ilyn Payne who beheaded Ned Stark, Gregor "the Mountain" Clegane who tortured residents in Harrenhal, "The Red Woman" Melisandre who took Gendry away, and the Beric Dondarrion and Thoros of Myr of the Brothers without Banners.
Of course, HBO and the "Game of Thrones" showrunners always go for the most surprising ones. Fortunately, TV Line has a couple of ideas who will soon bite the dust.
- Melisandre - Even though her life was spared by the new King in the North in the "Winds of Winter" season 6 finale, there are quite a number of people out there who wants her dead. Aside from Arya, Sir Davos also wants revenge on the Red Priestess for burning young Princess Shireen Baratheon at the stake.
- Theon Greyjoy - After Ramsay Bolton broke him and created "Reek," Theon Greyjoy has never been the same cocky Stark ward we loved. Because of that, it would not be surprising if he is not as good in the battlefield as before which might mean he won't last long during the war.
- Jamie Lannister - TV Line noted that screenwriters of the show had made Jamie a better person than what he was during the earlier seasons of the show. This means he would probably die soon. After all, redemption arcs usually cement the reform of a character with his death.
- Brienne of Tarth - While she may be good at battle, Brienne has a weakness for good men. For that reason alone, a single combat against Jaime Lannister might mean her demise. Plus, TV Line noted that she is one of the few good people standing to see Season 7 which is something that can make her life shorter.
- Davos Seaworth - According to TV Line, there is a possibility that Sir Davos would sooner or later see his demise in the hand of the Red Priestess whom he had exiled from Winterfell or in the battlefield. Either way, his character is on the TV Line's list of soon-to-be-dead characters simply because there is a war coming. And because Winter is here.
