Scottie Pippen was instrumental in the Chicago Bulls' 6 NBA titles and their record 72 victories in the 1995-96 seasons. He is considered one of the best small forwards of all time, and was named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team 8 straight times and the All-NBA First Team three times.
He was a seven-time NBA All-Star and two-time Olympic gold medalist as a member of the dream team in 1992 and 1996. Pippen will reunite with his fellow 1992 dream teamers in 2K Sports upcoming basketball simulation game NBA 2K13.
Originally he was not going to be included on the team's roster because the game's publisher, 2K Sports, negotiated individual licensing contracts with the members of the Dream Team, and couldn't come to agreement with Pippen.
But thanks to popular demand from fans of the series and the dream team, Pippen reconsidered and is digitally putting on his Team USA number 8 jersey. With Pippen on the Dream Team in NBA 2K13, we can now we can settle the debate of which US Olympic team is the best on the virtual hardwood.
NBA 2K13 will release on Oct. 2, for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. The game will also release on the Wii U when the system releases during the holiday season.
