Konami officially announce that Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 will include for the first time ever 20 Brazilian teams, that will be fully licensed, and including actual rosters, actual kits and some new stadiums.
The full list of teams includes: Atlético Mineiro, Fluminense, Vasco da Gama, Gremio, SC Internacional, Botafogo, Cruzeiro, Sao Paulo, Corinthians, Náutico, Flamengo, Portuguesa, Ponte Preta, Santos, Palmeiras, Coritiba, Bahia, Sport, Atletico Goianense, and Figueirense.
In order to celebrate the announcement, Konami has released a trailer featuring Santos forward Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior. The 20-year-old Neymar won the 2011 South American Footballer of the Year award, by a record margin.
In an official statement, Erik Bladinieres, Director of Latin America for Konami said, "The Latin American region, particularly Brazil, continues to grow tremendously for us, so it's important we bring teams and licenses from this region. Bringing in these teams from Brazil, along with the Copa Libertadores license, makes PES 2013 the most authentic soccer experience available in the market."
Earlier Konami announced that PES 2013 will have 150 licensed teams including all teams from top Spanish and Italian divisions. The game will also feature many teams including Manchester United, Bayern Munich, FC Porto, AEK Athens, Galatasaray Istanbul, Shahktar Donetsk, FC Kopenhagen and more.
Konami is also releasing a new improved demo for the PES 2013 that will be available for download on Xbox 360 on Aug. 28, and on PlayStation 3 on Aug. 29. A Windows PC version will be available later in September. The game is due for release in the October. Cristiano Ronaldo will be the feature athlete on the front cover.
