Blame it on E3 why some PlayStation gamers are starting to ask about the "God of War" 4 release date which is not so surprising. After all, Sony teasingly revealed a "God of War" gameplay trailer at the 2016 E3 . It obviously worked, interest in the game is starting to go sky high.
In lieu of a definite "God of War" release date however, Sony did reveal some details of the game. Among the game's details reveal is the actual use of Krato's son in future "God of War" gameplays.
By the way, the official name of the game is just "God of War." However, there is a 2005 game with the same name. For this reason, some prefer to call the new game "God of War" 4 instead.
Kratos Has A Son In the Coming "God Of War" 4
"God of War" players are probably wondering what the fuss was about when it was revealed that the game's protagonist, Kratos, will have a son in the coming game. Of course the son's presence was neatly explained as a humanizing factor for Kratos.
Apparently, "God of War" creative director Cory Barlog got the idea that audiences could empathize even with the much-hated and dreaded Star Wars emperor after reading an abandoned Star Wars script, reports Polygon. It is an idea that they wanted to try out with Kratos in the new "God of War" game.
While the story might have appeal to players who want more depth from Kratos or in the "God of War" gameplay in general, not all players will be appreciative of such storyline embellishments. In fact, some are probably getting a bit worried if they would have to babysit the boy in between fights, a task unbecoming of a deity in training.
"God of War" Gameplay - Father and Son Combo?
But it turns out that the boy is not just there to only add emotional appeal in the new "God of War" game. In fact, Jeet Shroff, "God of War" lead gameplay engineer revealed that Kratos' son is an important element in the game, reports Game Rant,
Rather than being passive, Kratos' son is a new feature and would certainly be appreciated when the "God of War" release date arrives. There is "son button" which can summon the boy who will then assist Kratos in battling his enemies. What is even more exciting is that Shroff revealed that both Kratos and the boy can be upgraded. One can only assume that the son would continue getting stronger with each upgrade, making him an important factor in future "God of War" gameplay.
Any Rumors Of A "God of War" Release Date?
