“Suits” is all set to air its sixth season in a couple of week though fans have already been given a bit of a tease on what to except.
Thanks to a promotional clip tied up for “Suits” season 6, in focus was “Harvey Specter” (Gabriel Macht) who was seen talking to someone about a “certain” mess he got them into per TV Guide.
What 'mess' will Harvey fix?
Recalling the events that went down last season, mess could refer to a lot of things.
The immediate one that comes to mind is the one involving “Michael Ross” (Patrick J. Adams). Harvey was aware of the fact that Mike faked his credentials for him to come on board the law firm but all of that blew up when the secret got out per The Hollywood Reporter.
Ross surrendered and took a two-year sentence but the damage hurt the law firm the most. Seeing that Harvey and Mike are close buddies, it could signal the retention of their close ties in one way or the other.
If not about Mike, Harvey could be out to make up for the row by helping the firm get back on its feet. Should this be the case, Harvey will likely get some added help from Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman).
How About Mike and Zane?
Aside from Harvey’s mystery ‘mess’, there is the relationship between Mike and and “Rachel Zane” (Meghan Markle) were all set to get married until the former opted to walk out of their wedding and turn himself in the “Suits” season 5 finale.
With Aaron Korsh revealing that “Suits” season 6 will pick off from where the season 5 finale left off, both Mike and Rachel will likely take on independent routes.
This means that both will move on from the botched wedding as both refocus on their individual lives via E! Online.
"... For Rachel, it's a great season because she's separated from Mike. Her story is not about how she can service Mike or take care of Mike or keep Mike's secret or be mad at Mike."
“Suits” returns on July 13 for season 6 on USA.
