Behind the Scenes of Assassin's Creed 3: Episode One (Watch it Here!)

Ubisoft has released the first part of its 4-part documentary series, "Inside Assassin's Creed III: Episode One," which you can check out below.

This first episode, entitled "Making a Masterpiece," introduces what's to come for the series, and will include interviews with the staff behind the game, weapon experts, war historians, language consultants, and more. Check it out!

"The creators of Assassin's Creed III shed some light on what it takes to redesign one of gaming's most iconic franchises from the ground up. Part one in a four-part documentary series, Inside Assassin's Creed III: Episode One gives you a behind the scenes look at some of ACIII's key pillars through the eyes of its developers and outside experts."

With a staff numbering in the hundreds, the end result is a game that will have over 30 hours of gameplay, and 2 and a half hours of cinematic scenes.

A series that began in the Middle East, moved into Western Europe, is now set in the early days of the birth of America. Taking place during the American Revolution, the newest assassin protagonist, Connor, will cross paths with key figures of early American history; including George Washington, Sam Adams, and others, in colonial Boston, New York, and the American frontier.

Courtesy of the new AnvilNext gameplay system, we'll get a new combat system, as well as a new navigation system. And it will also be able to handle roughly two thousand characters on the screen at one time.

The next Behind the Scenes will go into Connor's weapons, and tactics.

Assassin's Creed 3 is out on October 30, for PC, PS3, and XBox 360.
