When the call went out this past July that Microsoft was seeking beta testers for the next version version of XBox Live, director of programming for XBox Live, Larry Hryb claimed the amount of interest was "staggering." So much so, that Microsoft has recently announced a second call for subscirbers to test out the beta.
Anyone who's interested can register at live.com, but act now, as Hryb expects spots will fill up quick.
Hryb noted some of the beta's new features in a blog post, including:
* Internet Explorer for Xbox
* Recommendations and ratings
* Pinning and favorites
* Enhanced category search and discovery features
* Voice search (in specified markets)
And should you find yourself one of the lucky few to test the beta, remember, silence is golden. Testers will be asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement, and the penalty for violating it "will be removed from this beta and all Xbox betas moving forward, and will not have access to Xbox Live until the end of this beta program period," wrote Hryb.
And don't think you're clever, because according to Hyrb, "Our NDA enforcement squad is really good at finding violators; so save us both the trouble and don't test them."
