As if the Xbox One and PS4 consoles aren't enough, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick recently revealed, the company is closely monitoring the development of the Nintendo NX. In his interview on The Street, Zelnick said "It could be very exciting. You never want to count Nintendo out. They go quiet for a while and then they come to market and do something really exciting. We are very interested and watching closely the development of what Nintendo plans to do next."
That being said, could this be a sign that Take-Two Interactive is planning on developing games for the next gen Nintendo NX? While there's no confirmation that such things will happen, it is the CEO's apparent interest on the NX that absolutely raises the question. Take-Two Interactive is the developer behind some of the most successful video games of this generation including Red Dead Redemption, NBA 2k, WWE 2K and Grand Theft Auto.
Unfortunately, during the E3 2016 event, the NX wasn't Nintendo's top priority and any announcement about its apparent launching came at a very subtle pace. Nevertheless, Nintendo did not disappoint; not when thousands of fans lined up to check on "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" game in their booth. People lined up for hours, waited until they finally get the chance to play the only playable game in the Nintendo game lineup.
In another report about the Nintendo NX, Gamestop CEO Paul Raines made an interesting revelation saying, the NX actually has a physical media. And if that's not enough to excite you, Nintendo also plans on bringing back the cartridges, instead of the conventional discs that Xbox One and PS4 currently uses. Whatever the catch is, the Nintendo NX will arrive on March 2017 and by then, some essential details may have been released to the public.
