'Red Dead Redemption 2' Latest News, Release Date & Update: Why Sony Decided Not To Air "Red Dead Redemption 2" On E3 And Further Details For The Franchise [VIDEO]

"Red Dead Redemption 2" was a missing gem at the E3 2016 leaving fans no choice but to wonder why and turn to rumors instead.

In a report from HNGN revealed that a video uploaded in YouTube claims that the airing of the "Red Dead Redemption 2" trailer for E3 was taken out from Rockstar's roster "at the last minute."

It said that some believe that the trailer was removed from the lineup of clips to be shown at the event because it had violent footages that depicted the deadly massacre in Orlando, Florida.

Citing an "industry insider," YouTube user Game Riot explained that trailer clip for the highly anticipated sequel to the Rockstar game did not make it to the annual gaming event exactly because of the onset of the Orlando shooting.

According to the video's caption, the gameplay trailer for "Red Dead Redemption 2" was replaced by the "Days Gone" clip .

But Sony PlayStation's Third Party Relations and Developer Technology Group Vice President Adam Boyes clarified in a Tweet that they never intended to include the trailer in the event at all.

Responding to a query from Twitter user Ryan Dungey about rumors that "a certain game" from their roster was cut from the show, Boyes denied that the company intended to show an RDD 2 trailer in the first place.

"The length and content we showed has been locked and unchanged for months," he added,

Speculations about the development of the sequel to the western action-adventure video game from Rockstar Games had been sufficient though there is little to no evidence that it would be released anytime this year.

Most of those who expected an E3 2016 trailer for the sequel only based their hopes on Take-Two executive Strauss Zelnick's statement saying that the studio will create an impression on the event.

In fact, Cross Map believes that there is a big possibility that "Red Dead Redemption 2" would be released no earlier than 2017 with the title "Legends of the West."
