After being a part of "Dancing With The Stars" for 18 consecutive seasons, it has taken a toll on Mark Ballas' back.
Inquisitr reported that Mark Ballas injured his back during Week 2 rehearsals of "Dancing With The Stars" season 22.
His partner in "Dancing With The Stars" season 22 was Paige VanZant, who was left with no choice but to temporarily perform with a different partner while Mark Ballas was trying to recover from his back injury.
“This ["Dancing With The Stars" season 22] just finished and my back still hurts. Thinking that far ahead is kind of … you know, it’s hard,” Mark Ballas told People magazine when asked if he's going to be a part of "Dancing With The Stars" season 23.

If Mark Ballas will have his way, he would love to see Shakira on "Dancing With The Stars" season 23. The 30-year-old singer-songwriter, actor and professional dancer revealed that he is a fan of the Colombian superstar.
“I don’t know. They do a great job of picking people that are entertaining and fun,” Mark Ballas told People magazine. “If I could have anyone it would be Shakira. She’s, like, my No. 1 choice. I think she would be amazing.”
