“Arrow” season 5 continues to lie low though the same doesn’t hold true on rumors and speculations. After finishing off season 4 with a lot of questions, the upcoming season may see Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) up for major adjustments.
The last time we touched on “Arrow” involved the possible team-up with an ex-Marine who may reinforced the remaining duo of “Green Arrow” and “Felicity” (Emily Bett Rickards). If you missed that post, you can read it here.
Right now team “Arrow” is in for a major overhaul with “John Diggle” (David Ramsey) and “Speedy/Thea Queen (Willa Holland) choosing to part the scene. Colton Haynes will reportedly return though it remains to be seen if he will portray “Roy Harper/Arsenal” on a regular basis. So who else could join team “Arrow”?
Is 'The Spectre' coming in 'Arrow' Season 5?
One thing about the DC TV Universe is that the superheroes are plenty. While it was emphasized that there would be no more magic next season, it may have referred only to the evil side of things.
On the part of team “Arrow”, everyone saw how Ollie teamed up with “Constantine” (Matt Ryan) as they tried to fend off the magically-backed villains. Even without the paranormal villains, additional help may come in handy for Ollie whoever teams up with him next season.
One familiar DC superhero mentioned in the mix is “The Spectre. A seemingly normal tweet has been now associated with the possible appearance of “James Corrigan” who embodies the spirit of vengeance.
For those who are not familiar with “The Spectre”, he was formerly “James Corrigan” who suffers a terrible death but returns to sets things straight.
Per Screen Rant, “The Spectre” was sent back to earth in an almost “Jekyll and Hyde” type of persona.
If he does appear on “Arrow” season 5, it should be something interesting.
According to Collider.com, “The Spectre” was a founding member of the Justice Society of America and that all the more opens a lot of (cross-over) possibilities.
The possibilities refer to another CW show, “Legends of Tomorrow” which ended when “Rex Tyler aka Hourman” appeared. With possibly two “Justice Society of America” characters being added, one has to wonder of the two other shows (“The Flash” and “Supergirl”) will get one too.
