Larry David Announced The Comeback Of 'Curb Your Enthusiasm:' Season 9 To Be Funnier, Set To Have A Christmas Special?

It has been five years since the comedy television series, "Curb Your Enthusiasm," aired on HBO on Sept. 11, 2011. Now, the lead star of the show, Larry David, announced on Tuesday that the America's favorite TV series is back!

A New Season

Larry David revealed that "Curb Your Enthusiasm" would have its Season 9 on HBO, according to Irish Examiner.

"Curb Your Enthusiasm" has been on a hiatus for a long time since its last season aired in 2011. In fact, it is quite unlikely to have Season 9 at all.

Larry David, who also played as the writer, creator and lead star of "Curb Your Enthusiasm," had been questioned numerous times if his show was going to be back, but he always refused to answer.

Now, Larry David described his comeback from "the immortal words of Julius Caesar, 'I left, I did nothing, I returned.'"

"We're thrilled that Larry has decided to do a new season of 'Curb,'" Casey Bloys, HBO's new programming director, said in a statement. "And can't wait to see what he has planned."

HBO's Longest-Running Series

"Curb Your Enthusiasm" has been HBO's longest-running series since it started in 1999 and ended with eight seasons with 80 episodes.

Larry David has been loved on "Curb Your Enthusiasm" by playing his alternative personality, Haaretz reported.

As Larry David grew up in a Jewish family in Brooklyn, the 68-year-old star also displayed some Jewy moments on "Curb Your Enthusiasm."

This went from acting like an Orthodox to choosing between Israeli and Palestinian cuisine.

'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Season 9

Fans are now waiting to see Larry David on HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm" Season 9. They are expecting he will be funnier and smarter in handling awkward social situations.

The "Curb Your Enthusiasm" supporters, too, are looking forward to see Larry David's impersonation of Bernie Sanders, as he has been mimicking the Democratic candidate for quite awhile, The Sunday Morning Herald cited.

"Curb Your Enthusiasm" may not be seen until 2017, but a Christmas special might be happening on HBO to introduce again the show's characters.
