Things are heating up as far as rumors tied up to the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 which is expected to debut in August. As of right now, word about the name change from the previously speculated Samsung Galaxy Note 6 to the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is likely imminent though there are more to hope for.
The specs and features have been set on the table, including that previous post which sees the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 carrying close similarities (with reference to the curved edge screen display) to the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
Other than the striking features and specs, there is the main concern of most and this has something to do with the actual date. Hearing that it will be on August whittles that down a bit but now would-be buyers are more concerned on the specific date of its release.
Sam Mobile got hold of an image that could pretty well help out in that area. The image shows the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 debuting at the Galaxy Unpacked 2016 event which will take place on August 2, 2016.
The Galaxy Unpacked event will be held at the Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center in New York based on the image, showing as well five curved lines that form an obvious number “7”.
Another catchline to the image is the one that says “The next edge around the corner”. This could be one of two things.
One is that it confirms that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will indeed come out with a curved display which could add the word ‘edge’ to its official name. Other than that, it could also hint at seeing the phablet coming out with an “Edge” version.
Right now, all of these are unofficial until proven by Samsung.
For those who missed it, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will allegedly sport a Snapdragon 823 SoC or an Exynos chipset, an iris scanner, IP68-certified water-resistant body, a USB Type-C port, and a 4,000 mAh battery per BGR.
