IO Studio is releasing “Qurare: Magic Library” in North America. The card battle role-playing game (RPG) was initially launched for PlayStation 4 in Asia in January 2016. The company made the announcement earlier on June 13, 2016.
According to the game developer, they dedicated 2016 to making exciting entertainment experiences for players. There will be a wide array of extraordinary titles for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR. There are several highly anticipated games that will be launched until the end of the year, including “Qurare: Magic Library.”
Gematsu cited IO Studio in stating that “Qurare: Magic Library” is a next-generation card battle RPG. The game features attractive card illustrations, numerous tales set in different locations, several Kodices and charming librarians. In the main story, the Library of Babel contained all known information in the world. All of a sudden, it mysteriously exploded, causing the stored Kodices within to be spread throughout the dimensions. Three librarians met in the magic library to rebuild the famous structure and will need the aid of players to complete their huge task.
On the “Qurare: Magic Library” official website, the application for Early Access can be submitted from June 7 to 27, 2016, while Early Access will open in July. Only users of PlayStation Store US can participate in the Early Access. Applicants should leave their email address as well as agree to Collection of Personal Information and International Transfers Agreement.Approved applicants will receive the code in their registered email.
According to Siliconera, over 100 Korean artists submitted art for the “Qurare: Magic Library” game cards, which number over 500. The promo trailer featured the three librarians, namely Miu, Sella and Delphine. Miu was described as a full-fledged librarian who grew up at the Librarian Academy. She is both optimistic and caring, making her an essential member of the library.
Sella is an apprentice librarian who still lacks experience but is willing to learn. She joined the library to escape her oppressive noble family. She can be childish and impertinent at times. Delphine is a special agent and combat specialist from the Central Library. She has excellent survival skills but is often misunderstood.
The story will most likely delve on the unusual relationship of the three women and the challenges they have to face to rebuild Qurare. There were also scenes of the library, combat sequences, cards and other characters in the game.
