The PlayStation Vita is about to get a taste of Call of Duty mania with the release of the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified.
The trailer was just released and looks like the game is going to deliver the same stunning cinematic action, single-player campaign, branching storylines and non-linear missions of its home console big brother. The studio made the announcement at Sony's Gamescom press conference, as originally reported by Gamespot.
"One of Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified's compelling features is the fact that you can take the established gameplay everyone knows and loves and bring it to the PS Vita," says the game's producer at Activision, Neven Dravinski.
Black Ops Declassified will be a bridge between the first two games in the storyline Black Ops series, developed by Nihilistic Software. Black Ops Declassified will reportedly include features such as Create-A-Class, Perks, Prestige Levels and the use of dual analog sticks. Nihilistic Software also developed the previous Vita first-person shooter Resistance: Burning Skies.
The game will also feature multiplayer support over a WiFi connection and will use PlayStation Vita's touchscreen for melee attacks and to throw grenades at enemies. The game propels players into a global conflict featuring advanced weaponry, robotics, and drone warfare in a new Cold War scenario.
The games trailer is filled with the explosive action gamers have come to expect from the call of duty series. Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified will also come included in a special PlayStation Vita bundle, according to Sony's press conference. The price was not announced.
