Game maker From Software announced a new patch for "Dark Souls 3" which would be available for download starting tomorrow. However, a lot of hardcore players are complaining about the vague wordings of the accompanying patch notes.
The new patch will be available for download across all platforms, reports VG24/7. The patch download will update the client version to 1.05 and the regulation version to 108. It is said to fix some of the encountered bugs in the "Dark Souls 3" game such as the freezing of the character while jumping into the fog in Archdragon Peak.
Another glitch that the "Dark Souls 3" patch will take care of is the Rinfinger Leonhard quest. Players were complaining before because the quest won't start. The new "Dark Souls 3" patch will solve the problem by removing the restrictions of Pale Tongues.
However, some portions of the patch notes that accompany the upcoming "Dark Souls 3" patch are vaguely worded. In fact, it is a common complaint among players that the notes don't exactly tell what is changed and by how much, reports Kotaku. It seems that it is left to the players to discover for themselves what has changed in the gameplay which may be an advantage or disadvantage to some "Dark Souls 3" players.
For example, one part of the patch notes say - "adjusted the attack power and skills of fist and claw weapons." Okay, it tells the players to expect something to the attack power and the subsequent damage to enemies. However, the "Dark Souls 3" patch notes failed to mention additional details that are very important to any player.
Important details like, did the attack power increase or decrease? If so, by how much percentage? Since no answers are forthcoming, "Dark Souls 3" players will have to discover for themselves if their attacked was increased or decreased with the patch upgrade.
Some of the mysterious changes "Dark Souls 3" players could expect in the coming upgrade include:
- Adjusted the attack cancel parameters of some curved swords attacks.
- Adjusted the skills of twin blade weapons.
- Adjusted stamina consumption and attack cancel parameters for rapier weapons.
- Adjusted the attack collision for the washing pole weapon.
- Adjusted parameters of Farron Hail and Busting Fireball.
- Adjusted casting speed, stamina consumption, cancel timing of some Spells .
As one can see, there is absolutely no mention of what the direction the adjustments could take in the coming "Dark Souls 3" upgrade. It could either increase or decrease. And the worst part is, it did not say by how much.
