Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4 To Pick Off From ‘Civil War’

Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4 To Pick Off From ‘Civil War’

Marvel’s “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” is on hiatus with the plots for season 4 still a mystery. But this early, there are ramblings that season 4 may have some tie-ups with the recently shown Marvel blockbuster film, “Captain America: Civil War."

In season 3 of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," “Civil War” mentions were made and such has led to conclusions that Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) may have been displaced because of his stance on the “Sokovia Accord."

For those who are may have forgotten, the “Sokovia Accord” is something that requires all ‘Inhuman’ agents and assets to register with the government which was pretty much controversial in season 3.

The best example is of course “Daisy/Skye” (Chloe Bennett) who had a back-and-forth issue with the group. And that fast-forward scene could be proof that “Skye” is not amenable to the “Sokovia Accord”.

For Coulson, everyone has seen the special treatment that he holds over ‘Inhumans’ and could be the reason behind his demotion.

With Coulson out, who is the new director of S.H.I.E.L.D.?

Right now, rumors believe that it could be Nick Fury (Samuel Jackson) though inserting him at this point seems a bit odd. If it was the series finale or special episode, then such could make sense. But for the duration of the season, it may be someone not immediately associated with the team.

“I was not given a clear answer. I don’t know that it’s been determined. I thought I was going to find out when I saw Civil War, but it’s not at all clear. It all depends when the glorious Nick Fury returns from the cold and the shadows. I suspect, in the wake of the Sokovia Accords and the end of Civil War, the people involved in choosing who the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be are other than in-house S.H.I.E.L.D. people. If I know my government bureaucracies, I have a feeling it will be someone somewhat less qualified than Coulson to run S.H.I.E.L.D.,” said Coulson via EW.com.

A good guess would be “General Glen Talbot” (Adrian Pasdar) who caught a glimpse of Coulson’s secret base and operations. Everyone knows his character in the series, someone who is swinging along with the tides.

If not “Talbot” it could be anyone or some new cast member which may only be revealed when “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” officially returns for its fourth season.
