Wrestlemania 33 Rumors: Will The UFC Repay WWE With Ronda Rousey Appearance? [POLL]

The UFC and the WWE are rivals but given the chance, can work together if they please. Concrete evidence of that is Brock Lesnar who will be competing at UFC 200 against Mark Hunt despite being under contract with the WWE.

The Brock Lesnar booking does come a bit of a surprise seeing how the WWE and UFC have been controlling the appearances of their stars. Could this breakthrough break the barrier for future stars on each brand?

Yesterday, Paige VanZant was mentioned as someone the WWE would have loved to add for WWE SummerSlam in August. After her popularity rose following “Dancing with the Stars” the UFC Strawweight fighter could be a good addition to spice up things on the August PPV.

Moving forward, however, there is another name that the WWE has been aching to have on their annual spectacle – “Wrestlemania”. And that person is no other than Ronda Rousey, the former UFC Women’s bantamweight champion.

Rousey did appear on Wrestlemania 31 alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson last year and her appearance was epic. Though she didn’t really strut her Octagon moves, it opened up a ton of ideas like a possible match moving forward.

Wrestlemania 32 would have been grand had Rousey been available though Dana White and company still had the last say. Although, there is that factor of her busy Hollywood schedule as well as the fact that she has yet to return to the UFC following her November loss to former champion Holly Holm.

To date, there is no word on when Rousey will return to the Octagon though White claims that the former champion will be back later this year. She will face whoever is champion, possibly Miesha Tate if she can get past Amanda Nunes at UFC 200.

For the WWE, Vince McMahon and company are hoping that they can somehow work something to have Ronda Rousey for Wrestlemania 33 and in an official match.

Rousey is at the top of WWE’s list and they are confident they can eventually solidify a match involving Rousey, who many believe will ultimately end up in WWE down the road as mentioned on Forbes.
